Sea Breeze & Surf & Turf

This photo was taken during a 2 - person show I had at the Harcourt House Gallery, 3rd floor, 10215-112 St. , Edmonton, Alberta. The two pieces represented are Sea Breeze on the left and Surf & Turf on the right. The images themselves are not paintings but prints. They are screen collographs or Intagio prints. The one on the left was printed onto a cotton sheet and the right one was printed onto white felt. Both have some acrylic paint added to enhance the color. These large prints were tied to pieces of copper piping with yellow polyester cord and exhibited while stretched onto these frames.
The Double Bind series was exhibited in Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Toronto, and Halifax.

This series has been donated to the Brandon University Fine Art Collection and is regularly shown in the Fine Arts classroom area and library.
A project funded by the Manitoba Arts Council, the Double Bind series was printed at the Manitoba Printmakers Association in 1989, sewn together in 1990 and exhibited after 1991.
