Screen Collograph Plates
Here is an example or close up of a screen colograph plate. The areas of gray are areas of the plate that have not had any acrylic applied to it and so hold ink. These areas should print as a dark black. The yellow areas were slip trailed using a bottle of thinner acrylic (hair dye bottles used). I thought they would be more solid but as they dried they left holes which held ink so you cannot be too careful.

The screen collograph process is also great for cut plate printing. Cutting the plate can easily create components which can be individually inked with different colours. I printed all the plates together so the paper didn't cut or buckle etc.

All of these large prints were printed at the Manitoba Printmaker's association. They have a very large press which allowed me to create such large prints.

The 30x40" screen collograph and relief prints from the Multiple Views series were printed at the North Nassau private studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
